The Age of Man

The Age of Man

“Thinking of Spring” was inspired by Cory in May , the piece took on a life of it’s own over coffee at Star Bucks. While waiting for a friend we tried to figure out how to display the piece, when everything came into place, our biggest single installation was born. There were 20 adults and 2 children in the Star Bucks… the collection would include 20 men, all sizes shapes and ages each standing in a similar pose; one boy of about 10 sitting legs crossed head tilted (yoga style) looking at the mass in front of him, and an infant just crawling heading toward the boy. This is the idea and diagram from that day…

Now under way with 2 bodies sculpted the next 2 years will see the growth of the “Age of Man”. We will keep updates here as the project develops. One of the pieces will be made approximately 16 feet high as an entrance to the instillation the rest will be approximately life size. We never intended to create a piece such as this, however, as with all the arts one has little control when the muses inspire.

Upon the completion of “The Age of Man” shall commence “The Age of Woman”.
